ABOUT THE GAME
Boundary City Online is a free MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game).
Each player connects to the game using a nickname.. Then you are asked to customise your player by choosing your Character’s type (also named Class).
At the beginning you are asked to choose which role you want to take: the objectives to be reached in the game will slightly change accordingly. However, the game has a few main Quests and some other secondary ones.
Inside the game you may meet other players and you are visible to others in the same room. You can move walk away, or perform actions interacting with the players and the environment.
Each player can carry or wear objects that are visible in the “Inventory” list.
Pockets have a limited capacity (5 objects) but some items can be worn so they don’t take any space. Other objects are containers so they increase your ability of carrying items. To “examine” other characters and to see what they are carrying simply click on the Character.
Inside the game, everything happens in real time, as if it was another dimension, parallel to ours.
If you decide to quit, click [Save and Exit] then use the [Disconnect] button: this way your character will disappear dropping on the floor all picked items. If you close the browser or if the internet connection crashes (even if you re-connect immediately) you will not be able to continue the game and you will have to re-connect. In that case, your character will remain still for 60 seconds and then will be automatically terminated.
You can increase your Experience in three ways:
Defend yourself against "enemies"
Be the Idol of Boundary City
Cast spells
When choosing objects to pick up and/or give, you should use those that best complement your healthy choices in order to let you face most enemies.
Computer Controlled Characters:
The computer controlled characters are virtually identical to players, except for they are controlled by the system. They can speak, give you objects and trade them and react to events. They don’t listen to conversations between players so if you want to speak with an character, talk directly to him/her using the [SAY] button and then clicking the character’s picture.
Items
There are many items in the game which you can pick up, use, sell, or buy. You can give items to other players and, in some cases, they are accepted also by the computer controlled characters which might give you something in return. Some items can contain other ones (for example, using the command: put this into that). They can also be opened or closed or even locked or unlocked. In some cases you may want to hide them so that other players cannot pick them up easily.
You cannot steal an item owned by somebody else, even though there are some cases in which a player is forced to drop all that he is carrying (weakness, player’s death or lost connection).
Paths, Doors and Passages
You move around the through these, but sometimes you will have to open a door first. Some doors are locked, and you will need to own the appropriate key to unlock it. There are also a few special ways to open secret passages. You must find these yourself!
These are types of roles that you (the player) can take.
13 Year Old Male Civilians (Trevor)
13 Year Old Female Civilians (Shaylynn)
12 Year Old Male Civilians Civilians (Randy)
10 Year Old Male Civilians (Jagger)
12 Year Old Female Civilians (Kira)
11 Year Old Female Civilians (Fiona)
Computer Controlled Characters
These characters are computer controlled, and you will interact with them.
Some of these characters include:
Mr. Burns
He is your Home Room Teacher and has good advice for you. Talk to Him and listen to the “hints” he has for you! You may even have some items to give to him! (Hint hint!)
Grocer Store Manager
Buy and sell items in his store. Trade with confidence.
Mr. Drummand
He is the Banker. You give him money, get credits, and get money back whenever you want. He’s the right person to look for when you’re carrying too much money.
There are more! You will just have to find them!
There are characters you will encounter throughout your journey in Boundary City. Some are harmless, others will try to offer you something you may or may not want to accept. It's YOUR CHOICE how you interact with each character! Be careful, though, because some may cause you to lose HEALTH points!
Guys on the Street
Capable of offering drugs or substances.
Currently, they are competing with guys who sell cigarettes for power!
Guys Selling Cigarettes
Has a double nature: Civilian and Drug Dealer Connection. You may not be able to recognize them at first, until he talks to you! Keep an eye on the messages that appear when you encounter him!
BE WARE OF OTHER CREATURES (COMPUTER CONTROLLED)!!!
There are small creatures that you will encounter and can whack them, just for the fun of it!
Defend and Conquer
If, on the game’s connect screen, you read something like:
"### hours, minutes left before the Community is taken over by Drug Dealers"
your quest will be to defend yourself and conquer the Drug Dealers and have them arrested or run out of town. Each player completes this quest the moment he/she gets the Idol Crown. There are different ways to do it according to the player’s chosen role (the game will progress accordingly).
The Game is completed when a player returns home safely (Level V) where they are awarded the Idol Crown..
When this has been accomplished, the name of the winner is recorded in the Hall of Fame for EVERYONE to see!

Origins of the Game
The name of the game derives from BOUNDARIES that kids and adults need to setup when they encounter offers made to them that may not relate well with HEALTHY choices. Any links between the game’s plot and any other online game, if any, are absolutely coincidental.
